When it comes to my diet (both on-season and off), there is no denying that protein is a key player in my nutritional game. Alas, variety is the spice of life, and woman cannot survive on chicken and beef alone. For that reason, I turn to alternative sources of protein, most of all those that will also satisfy my cravings for sweets and treats. Fortunately, I was offered up the opportunity to partake in The Vitamin Shoppe‘s new and exciting #ProteinPantry – a curated selection of foods from a variety of brands that offers up an assortment of delicious, protein-packed foods!
As part of the #ProteinPantry program, the Vitamin Shoppe in conjunction with FitFluential sent me an AMAZING assortment of some familiar favorites, as well as some new and delicious protein-packed goodies to try!
When it comes to my healthy fats, nut butters are 9 out of 10 times my fat source of choice. Being that I like to get my protein in with every chance I get, my latest go-to has been P28 high protein spread. Much to my delight, not only did I receive more P28 (a girl can never have enough!), but I was also happily introduced to Buff-Bake, another company that produces delicious, high protein nut butters. Sadly, the jar lasted all of a week in my house, since I couldn’t stay away.
Protein pancakes are a weekend breakfast staple of mines, and P28’s new pancake mix is what usually goes down every Sunday morning. Happily, thanks to the Vitamin Shoppe I’ve now also added Mancakes into circulation, to delicious effect! Not only are the pancake mixes absolutely delectable, but the high fiber syrup gives me a whopping 5g of fiber, and only 30 measly calories. WINNING, all around!
