When PUMA (via Fitfluential) asked me to test-drive their brand new Ignite sneakers at an event in the heart of Times Square, I was on that situation like white on rice. Come snow or sleet or freezing temps (we had the latter, thankfully not the former), there was no way I was going to miss out on the opportunity to test what PUMA is lauding as their most responsive running shoe, yet.
I arrived on the scene, ready to rock my run and #IgniteNYC, greeted by the site of about 20 treadmills set in front of a stage from which Usain Bolt (yes, the fastest man in the world) motivated the crowd. The tunes were pumping, and so was my heart when I beheld those lovely Ignite sneakers.
The moment I slipped the Ignites on, my feet breathed a sigh of relief. Super comfortable and lightweight, these Ignites felt right from the get-go. I hopped onto the treadmill, and kicked up the pace, cranking that treadmill up to 7 mph. All the while, I couldn’t help but notice how effortless my steps felt. PUMA states that Ignite is made of the most responsive foam, ever, with a midsole that offers high rebound cushioning. What I noticed was an extra spring in my step as I ran.
All in all, I am rather pleased with PUMA’s latest running shoe addition. Look for the PUMA Ignite shoes in stores, coming soon!
