Wen by Chaz Dean Haircare

It seems like I am always complaining about my hair, doesn’t it? Well, when you wake up with this:

Wouldn’t you say that you are constantly having a bad hair day, too?

Remember that QVC beauty breakfast I told you all about not too long ago? Well, at said breakfast, I had the incredible pleasure of meeting hair guru Chaz Dean, founder of WEN Haircare. After having a look at some of the WEN offerings, I began to grill the man for tips on taming my unruly jew-fro. I explained that my list of grievances included, but were not limited to: frizz, coarseness, dryness, and the other unsavory effects of the complete and utter abuse my hair sustains at my hands daily. Taking a look at my bird’s nest, Chaz assured me that WEN was just the antidote that my hair needed.

Your move, WEN Haircare

To give a bit of background, WEN by Chaz Dean is a full line of cleansing and care products for hair and body that nourish and enrich with the essence of all that is good and natural. Hair cleansing involves a sulfate and detergent free cleansing crème, not a shampoo, while hair styling involves infusing the hair with ingredients that bring moisture and healthy shine too.

Still a bit skeptical, I took the plunge and decided to try the full system. The process began with the Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner, an antioxidant infused cream designed to thoroughly cleanse the hair sans lather. It took some adjusting to get used to the no lather part of this exercise, but in the end I will admit that my hair didn’t feel as straw-like as usual. It also helped that it smelled great.

Hair still sopping wet, I applied the Lavender Styling Cream, a 3 in 1 product that acts as leave in conditioner, hair gloss, and heat protectant in one. I let my hair air dry, as per usual, and watched as the finished results yielded a shiny, glossy, frizz free head of hair. A few sprays of the Lavender Replenishing Mist a couple of hours later, and I considered myself a believer. The proof is in the pudding, or in this case, my tresses.

These days, my hair is looking healthy, and feeling silky silky smooth.

Absent from my hair is the customary coarseness, and frizz. Plus, an added bonus is the fact that my color isn’t fading. Chaz explained that since there is no detergent or sulfates in the cleanser, there is nothing to strip the rich color that I put into my hair. That’s awesome for a faux redhead like me, folks.

Readers, I have experienced a bit of a hair renaissance with the WEN Haircare system. To get in on the action, check out this amazing line , at QVC.com.
