Before we discuss what makes this palette similar to other previous editions of the Book of Shadows (awesome colors, variety, and utter packaging awesomeness), let’s first discuss what makes this palette different. Taking beauty straight into the twenty first century, B.O.S IV comes with QR code cards, that when scanned with a smart phone link straight to tutorials on how you can use the palette. Even better, there is a detachable, portable speaker designed to hook up to your smart phone to amplify the sound whenever you need it.

Back to the fun stuff, the color! This palette features 10 brand new eyeshadow shades, and 6 old favorites, as well as an eyeliner, eye primer, and mini mascara. All of that comes packaged in a big purple box, complete with starburst bright colors, and beautiful three dimensional butterflies.

So what is in this splendiferously jam-packed kit? I thought you’d never ask!

Eyeshadows in Baked, Bender, Blue Bus, Bust, Cobra, Crystal, Gravity, Gunmetal, Hijack, Lost, Midnight Cowgirl, Midnight Rodeo, Missionary, Sin, Skimp, and Zephyr

Perversion 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion

And Supercurl Curling Mascara

Clearly anything and everything you could ever want or need to create the perfect eye makeup look.

I said it once, and I will say it again, you can have your cake (palette), and eat it (or learn from it), too.

Speaking of cake, I recently visited Junior’s in Brooklyn. Say hello to the most amazing strawberry cheesecake ever. I had 2 bites, and my boyfriend had the rest. Yay!

The Urban Decay Book of Shadows, Volume IV is available on the Urban Decay website, and in stores at your local Sephora today. Those who want it all can have it all, in this uber-friendly, bombastic, awesome-tastic new makeup palette.

Kristine, I generally do. I admit that I have been slacking in that department recently, but that is because I haven’t found the right setup in my new place to do them!
