Fragrance Friday- The Drink is On Me with the Marc Jacobs Cocktail Splash Collection

Marc Jacobs Cocktail Splash Collection

I am a firm believer in the tenet that a great fragrance should be able to take you away to a different time, space, and most importantly, place. Some of the most beautiful journeys that I have been on involved distinctive scents, and that tradition continues. Continuing a delicious tradition, Marc Jacobs has released this year’s limited edition Splash Fragrances. The wannabe lush in me is rejoicing ever so slightly, because this collection is inspired by delightfully exotic cocktail ingredients. In fact, with every spritz of these delicious fragrances, I find myself back on the beaches of Mexico, soaking up both sun and sand.

Marc Jacobs Cocktail Splash Collection CuracaoCuracao is a tropical blue concoction of citrus and fruit, at once bright and refreshing. Like the sweet liqueur that sired the inspiration for this scent, Curacao is both sweet and brilliant. The fragrance opens with a citrusy burst of blood orange, and ultimately settles softly in the skin as a soft, musky floral.

Marc Jacobs Cocktail Splash Collection Ginger

Ginger is the sexiest, spiciest scent of the bunch. A succulent mixture of ginger, flowers, spices, and wood, this is the scent that warms up beautifully.

Marc Jacobs Cocktail Splash Collection Cranberry

Cranberry is a vibrant, sparkling scent, the most feminine of the bunch. A blend of citrus, fruit, musk, and moss, this scent calls me to the very fibers of my soul.

Just for fun, I’ve looked up some tasty cocktail recipes, inspired by the scents.
