At Bibhu Mohapatra, the look was Dark Romanticism.
The hair team, led by Yann Varin for L’Oreal Professional, created an updo that was both dark and whimsical. An update on the classic 1950’s updo, hair was gathered into a ponytail, and then twisted both on the top and in the back. The end result was an updo of contrast, sleek, tight, and shiny in the back, voluminous and teased up top.
The nail team, led by Sunshine Outing for Zoya, used three different shades on all of the models: Jules, Dove (from the Intimacy Collection), and Kelly (from the Wonderful Collection)
The makeup team, led by Lyne Desnoyers for MAC Cosmetics, created a look that was all about dark romanticism. Skin was prepped with MAC Face and Body foundation, with concealer as needed and Mineralize Skinfinish to contour. On the eyes, Feline Khol Power all over the lid and into the crease, with Carbon eye shadow on top, and Dark Soul Pigment pressed into the lid. Brows were lightly erased, lashes were accentuated with mascara, and lips were finished with Fleshpot lipstick.
