Urban Decay Little Black Box

Urban Decay Black Palette

Back in black

I hit the sack

I’ve been too long I’m glad to be back

Yes I’m, let loose

From the noose

That’s kept me hanging about

–          ACDC- ‘Back in Black’

I don’t normally listen to hard rock (can you imagine me in a mosh pit- thought so), but Urban Decay has me dancing to a slightly different tune these days. Urban Decay is back, and in black, with their newest palette the Little Black Box. Taking the concept of sooty, grungy, rockstar eyes to the next level, the six shades of shifted black bring drama, depth, and a whole lot of edge. The shadows are sparkly, but not gritty, pigmented, but not at all messy. Give me this palette, and I will create one (or two, or a hundred) worthy smoky eye looks.

The shades:

Black Dog (Deep, dark matte black)

Barracuda (Sparkling Blackened Silver)

Jet (Sparkling blackened purple)

Sabbath (Sparkling blackened cobalt)

Cobra (Sparkling Gilded Black)

And Libertine (Sparkling blackened Emerald)

Also included are miniatures of Primer Potion in matte nude- Eden, and a miniature 24/7 in what else- black.

The beauty of the palette is the versatility it gives. There is no such thing as basic black in the world of Urban Decay, and I love that. Colorful smoky eyes, my favorite, are super easy to execute, and the drama is optional. Tell me you don’t look at this palette and think bad@ss. HOT.

For drama, edge, and rockstar glam, Urban Decay’s Little Black Box brings IT. No matter your blackest desire, this palette has what you and I crave. Find it today at Sephora.

When I first saw this palette, I thought “Jeez, how many shades of black does a gal need?!” And then I swatched them in store… I totally fell in love. The shades are amazingly pigmented, gorgeous colors, and easy to apply. GREAT palette.
