New York Fashion Week- Backstage at Victor de Souza

Well folks, the fun has truly begun. The party begins with Victor de Souza, CND, MAC, and hairstylist extraordinairre, Danilo.

Led by Candace Manacchio, the CND nail team painted models fingers and toes with a custom blend of Desert Suede, Brilliant White, and Asphalt. The end result was a deep greige inspired by underwater reflecting images

Leading the Makeup Team was none other than Kabuki for MAC.

Makeup Artist Kabuki

Inspired by Victor’s aquatic life in the coral reef concept, Kabuki mirrored that with a look that was “delicate but strange, like a sea horse.” Concealer was brushed through the eyebrows, and no mascara was used. The palette was kept both pale and neutral with MAC Mineralize All Over Lotion, Select Cover Up Concealer, Deep Brown Paintstick to contour, Prep and Prime Transparent Finishing Powder, Fusion Pink and Peachstock Lipsticks, Fascinating Eye Khol, Strobe Liquid, Strobe Cream, and Vanilla Pigment.

Last, but most certainly not least, the hair team was led by my mane man Danilo.

To go with Victor’s Ladies of The Sea theme, Danilo designed a look that was both strange and beautiful. Hair was first slicked back with gel, then divided into three sections, each wrapped with an elastic twine. Finally, each section was pinned in a loop, to mimic tentacles.

A rather fun look to begin fashion week off, if I do say so myself. What do you think of the look of Victor de Souza?
