Backstage at New York Fashion Week- The Look of Ruffian

The CND Nail Team, led by Amanda Fontanarrosa created a nail look that was sleek and vintage, inspired by the elegance of the 1940’s. One coat of putty, and one coat of Washed Down White made for the base, while the half moons were painted on with blackjack. Finally, air dry set and finished off the nail look. The Ruffian monogram adorned the pointer finger nail.

Can we take a moment to admire lead Amanda’s oputastic nails?

The Makeup team, led by James Kaliarpos for MAC created a look inspired by the nomadic woman, looking to adapt to a new culture. The shades were very sandy, mostly gold and bronze.

He Used:

Face & Body and Select Moisture Cover for Face, Refined Beyond Bronze and Lady Bronze on the High Planes of the Cheek

Eyes were Pearl Cream Base all over, Centre Stage Shadow in the crease and winged out to the temple, and Rose Gold Pigment through the crease. The waterline was lined with I Get No Kick Pearly liner, Opulash Mascara, and # 33 Lashes. Lips were finished with Dim Lip Erase and So Veyn Kissable Lip Color

So veyn Kissable Lip Color and I Get No Kick Liner seem to be new additions, if I am not mistaken.

Finally, the hair team led by Neil Moodie for Bumble and Bumble, created a wet chignon that glistened with a hint of moisture. To get the look, the hair team used Prep Spray to prepare hair for styling, and Straight, which provides texture via a silicone ingredient. Hair was parted on the left, then pulled back with the fingers and gathered at the nape of the neck. Hair was twisted into a chignon, and then secured with Bumble and Bumble Gel.
