Of the many backstage shows I did, Monique Lhullier was the one I might have been looking forward to the most. Makeup hair and nails didn’t disappoint, as model’s were primped and painted in the style of the Irving Penn Debutante. styled of course. Read on to find out more!
Wanda Ruiz keyed the nail look for CND, adorning model’s digits with 2 coats of Putty, and 1 Coat of Perfectly Bare Shimmer, a new addition to the CND line coming next spring. The nails were rounded square, to compliment the beautiful makeup.
The makeup team was led by Val Garland for MAC Cosmetics. She created a custom look using soft contouring, blush, and highlights on the face, with a matte lilac eyeshadow, elongated navy liner for aerodynamics, and a metallic crease color. Lips were a soft pink, created using new lip color in Vanity Fair.
Leading the Hair team was Rudi Lewis for Bumble and Bumble.
Hair was first pulled into a ponytail. A section is left on top and secured with a gold barrette.
Hair was then tucked under and secured with an elastic, the top section being added on top.
The end result is both polished, and pretty perfect.
