Deborah Lippmann has done it again, and by it I mean create two shades of nail polish that are so stunning, they literally make me want to sing their virtues, and dance while wearing them. Bad Romance and Across the Universe are pure, unadulterated, nail polish love.
“You know that I want you
And you know that I need you
I want it bad, your bad romance”
-Lady Gaga- Bad Romance
Bad Romance is edgy, unique, and all kinds of sexy. A deep purple base is the ocean on which both superfine and chunky fuchsia glitter particles are suspended. This is a shade to be worn with your sexiest little black dress, or your wildest haute couture creation. Much like the Gaga herself, this shade demands your attention, and your adoration.
Across The Universe
You hit me like a cosmic blast
You’ve given me a Technicolor world
– ProtaZoa- Supernova Girl
Yes, I know that I have pulled that Disney song out on you before, but this shade is worthy of such a flashy reference, trust me. Across the Universe is a polish so beautiful, that I literally gasped upon swatching. Swirling glitter flecks of turquoise and green are suspended in a base as deep and blue as the nighttime sky. Not unlike the vast cosmos, this shade is both complex, and awe-inspiring.
Deborah Lippmann’s newest addition for the fall, Bad Romance and Across The Universe are already available on her website. For stellar polishes with plenty of pow, these are not to be missed.
